Some days, you just would rather stay in bed, right?  On Friday, Roberta Smith, Ela Township’s Clinical Social Worker, will speak to Lake Zurich Rotary Club members on how to make sure you always feel prepared to do great things, in spite of your mood.

Smith offers a support group by the same name at Ela Township for people coping with depression, anxiety, anger, stress or other mood difficulties.  At the Friday luncheon, she will concentrate on aspects of cognitive behavior therapy that help with mood and how different thoughts on same event cause different emotions and actions.

Smith is employed by Ela Township to help township residents with difficult personal and family situations.  She also has a private social work practice in Cary, Illinois.
