Special Olympics Ambassador to Speak at Lake Zurich Rotary

On Friday February 12, Special Olympics Ambassador Brent Kampert will talk to Rotarians in Lake Zurich about his experiences as a Special Olympics champion. Jackie Hauswirth, Progam Manager will also talk about the annual Special Olympics preliminary state competition at Lake Zurich High School on May 1.

Lake Zurich Rotary will be in charge of the event’s softball and tennis ball throw for the third straight year. Volunteers from the community are also invited to participate. More than 200 Special Olympians participate in the event and are awarded prizes in a wide variety of throwing events.
