We are looking for volunteers for two events

Special Olympics is having a bowling event on Sunday May 21 at Brunswick Bowl. Shifts are 8 am to noon and 11:30 to 4.  You can also volunteer for the whole day.

Each volunteer takes charge of a lane and helps with any problems that arise. Contact Nancy Shepardson as soon as possible.

The second event is ColorVibe 5k scheduled for May 21 in Paulus Park.

The great thing about this request is that we have an opportunity to earn money for the club which can be put toward the End Polio Now fund, which we are short on.

They are looking for 6-10 volunteers for race packet pick-up and registration on Saturday, May 20 from noon – 5:30 pm, and then preferably the same 6-10 volunteers on Sunday from 6:30 am to approximately 10 am for on-site registration and then to pass out water to runners.

We are currently just under $1,000 short of our stated commitment for the End Polio Now fund.  We committed to donate $1,500 and currently have only raised $525.  10 volunteers for this event will generate $500 for us.

Volunteers can include your spouse, children old enough to deal with registration activity, friends, co-workers, etc
